Air Asia ICO to arrive soon in Market
Air Asia ICO Will boom the Crypto Trust
The Asia Based international flight operation company “Air Asia” is planning for the Air Asia ICO to get its cryptocurrency soon. The trend has changed from the stocks to the coins and the companies like Air Asia are planning to roll their cryptos. The latest change will help the company to go cashless and transact with the same currency globally.
AirAsia Group CEO Tony Fernandes told TechCrunch last week that the low-cost airline’s Big Points loyalty program could be “easily transferred to the blockchain,” though he has not yet speculated how much the company aims to raise.
If rumors are to be believed the world will see the Air Asia Coin by the second quarter of 2018.
“We have a product that can be a currency in Big Loyalty, [and] we’re building a payment platform so the two can marry quite nicely. We have an ecosystem that enables you to use that currency, there’s no point having a currency that can’t be used,” he added.
This happened At the Money20 / 20 Asia conference.
AirAsia is the second company to announce major ICO plans within the last four months. This was preceded by the messaging service Telegram, which is currently carrying out an ICO worth billions.
Fernando was optimistic about the ever increasing efforts to regulate ICOs around the world. He explained that the company will be able to implement its plans in the current and future environment.
Singapore has welcomed FinTech with open arms and saw $3.3 billion raised among 200 ICO’s last year. However, Cambodia, Vietnam and Indonesia have both blocked the emerging technologies while Thailand continues to struggle between regulating what already exists and planning to implement the future of the technology in a way that the government can strictly control and tax.
